In October 2000 Granite Transportation was launched as a second company owned and operated by Steve and Jeffrey Shellenberger in York, Pa., to serve locally in the food and manufacturing sectors with two drivers and one customer.
Since 2000 Granite has grown to nine customers and 64 drivers primarily operating in the northeast region of the United States.
Granite Transportation thrives on our family atmosphere and dedicated employees giving our customers a level of service and professionalism that is "simply the best." Granite's strength is our employees. Our goals are to be the best we can be every day.
The Company and its affiliates now consist of 235 drivers and administrative staff within three entities as follows:- S&H Express - The flagship company of company-owned equipment, company drivers and owner/operators.
- S&H Transport - A logistics company capable of providing support throughout the 48 states.
- Granite Transportation - A specialized carrier of company-owned equipment and company drivers providing dedicated service to specific key accounts.
